This is a nice 4 gallon Texas stoneware crock churn with the number 4 on shoulder next to the handle. This piece was found in the heart of Rusk County Texas and looks like the other Rusk Co pieces I’ve seen and/or owned over the years. This could very well be a piece of Hunt pottery. It’s a rich brown color with an incredible drippy glaze and imperfections in it’s finish. The measurements on this piece are about 16 1/2″ tall, aprox 8 1/2 across the top and aprox 9 1/4″ across the bottom. Has a couple of small chips on lip edge with the larger damage to the base, which if someone desired could be repaired, or you could leave as is which is what I chose to do. Stands perfectly and displays great. I have provided several photos to view, so you be the judge. This is a good looking crock and would be a fantastic addition to any collection. Photos have been provided as part of the description for you to closely view the item, judge condition, color, etc.. I don’t charge for my time to pack items, so please understand that it takes some time and great care to ensure you get an item like this in one piece. Comes from a smoke free home.
