A Yellow Ware Bowl w/ Matching Lid – 1920’s Era. A nice find for the collector who looks for examples of yellow ware pottery that is simply not common to find. The ring pattern and the fact that this example has the lid is quite nice. The shape of the bowl isn’t common either. The form has been used, yet not abused… The only signs of wear I can find is a glaze flake off the edge of the lid. This mark does not bite into the clay body, but rather is simply a spot were the glaze popped off. Cosmetically, it’s an easy fix. The bowl is not signed, yet you can see that the inner rim of the lid and edges are hand finished. Overall, this is a nice example and one which can be used with the need for keeping its contents warm with the use of a lid. Measures: About 10.5 diameter.
