Antique Salt Glaze Stoneware Beehive Pottery Jug. Wonderful Antique Stoneware Jug with a salt glaze. This piece has a handmade handle and a raised lip around the rim. The glaze creates a great speckled Gray and Brown color. This piece is in good condition for it’s age, but does have 1 crack starting on the bottom up the sides about 2/3 of the way (see Photos). This does not detract from the look of the crock as it is hard to see. It also has a small chip on the rim(see Photos). The Jug is marked with the letter A on the side. The size is 12″ in height and measures 7″ across the base. The rim is 2″ and the opening is 1 1/4″. It would make a lovely addition to your collection of antique stoneware.
