Rare fairmount advertising stoneware / cincinnati liquor scratch jug half gal
For interesting glass , pottery , oil paintings , lamps , dolls and more…. So i can hardly start this one too cheap , as i had to pay something to get this one….. The old cincinnati liquor company was located at the turn of the last century….. Right across the street from me in fairmount indiana…… It has currently become a part of our bank…. There is a big demand for all things from fairmount….. It is the hometown of the actor james dean……. We get tourists from all over the world who come here to visit the grave and our 2 fine museums….. This jug seems to be a half gallon size….. A few small chips on the rim and a couple on the bottom…… There are too many pictures to show the condition…….. In this area we see these scratch jugs….. If seems like the cincinnati liquor company had set up shops in many small towns around here…… There just were loaned out with a deposit , to carry whiskey back home…… Return the jug and get back the deposit…. And the last picture shows the bank as it is today……. The liquor shop was in the section furthest from the original corner in the last photograph. They are very hard to find now……. The one example in the museum is broken….. Still a nice bit of 1800s american clay history…. With a hollywood movie twist. Thank you for taking the time to search out this listing…….. But all items will STILL BE insured by us , as we will pay for it on our end……. And again , all packing materials , wrapping tissue , paper , bubble wrap and boxes are free……. We re-cycle almost everything anyway and my brother Jon gets about 98% or 99% of his packages delivered to the customer in perfect condition……… ” having said that , UPS once broke our cast iron kitchen skillet “…….
